Jeff Corbett, Partner

(As told by Robert Hahn)

The main reason why Jeff was recruited into 7DS Associates is to raise the firm's height average by 3", while reducing the average hair follicle count by 50%.  Both are important, as I understand things, to successful strategy consultancies.

The other reasons have to do with his expertise in the world of strategy, marketing, operations, and real estate.

Jeff is an accomplished entrepreneur and operations executive who brings 11 years of experience in the real estate, mortgage and finance sectors with a particular emphasis on marketing and operations.  In his last role at ActiveRain, the largest social network in the real estate space with 150,000 members, Jeff oversaw operations and business development.  He took a promising young startup and created operating procedures, revenue opportunities, implemented financial controls and cost containment programs, and streamlined the team at ActiveRain to build it into a real business.  Jeff's impact on ActiveRain was both immediate and profound; in less than a year, ActiveRain saw a tenfold increase in revenues and achieved both profitability and positive operating cashflow.

Not only is he tall, good-looking and an accomplished business operator, Jeff is also a thought leader in social media, marketing, and strategy as applied to real estate and mortgage industries.  Jeff started the influential TheXBroker blog in 2006 where he raised the banner for transparency and transformation in the mortgage industry.  He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including Inman Connect and RE Tech South.

A serial entrepreneur with six companies under his belt, 7DS Associates marks his return to startupville.  Jeff will bring professionalism, personality, and passion to providing top notch advisory services to clients in mortgage, finance, real estate, technology, and media to the table.

Jeff is a graduate of Syracuse University, is a diehard fan of the Buffalo Bills (as a Jets fan, I sympathize), and lives in Charlotte, NC.
